Plot- Desi Lee believes anything is possible if you have a plan. That’s how she became student body president. Varsity soccer star. And it’s how she’ll get into Stanford. But—she’s never had a boyfriend. In fact, she’s a disaster in romance, a clumsy, stammering humiliation magnet whose botched attempts at flirting have become legendary with her friends. So when the hottest human specimen to have ever lived walks into her life one day, Desi decides to tackle her flirting failures with the same zest she’s applied to everything else in her life. She finds guidance in the Korean dramas her father has been obsessively watching for years—where the hapless heroine always seems to end up in the arms of her true love by episode ten. It’s a simple formula, and Desi is a quick study. Armed with her “K Drama Steps to True Love,” Desi goes after the moody, elusive artist Luca Drakos—and boat rescues, love triangles, and staged car crashes ensue. But when the fun and games turn to true feels, Desi finds out that real love is about way more than just drama.

Unexpected things happen, but it’s how we react to them, how we learn and evolve from these things that shapes us into who we are. —Desi

Well , I was searching for some books for my summer TBR and I came across this k-drama inspired romance !! This book was meant for me !! I had recently begun watching K-Dramas and I could totally relate with the book . There is a girl, Desi and she wants to date Luka . But the problem is that she is not good at dating and romance parts . Her savior comes in the form of K-Dramas that her Dad binge-watches. She watches her dad’s beloved k-dramas and comes up with a list of things she must do in order to get the boy she wants.

Now comes the interesting part , Desi has to execute her list of “The Kdrama steps to fall in Love ” in the best possible manner to make the guy fall for her . Desi , seemed a K-drama heroine herself as she embarks on her journey . She was so determined the get this to work! The scenarios she found herself in were nothing short of funny and embarrassing and totally over the top . I couldn’t stop reading because I had to know what she would do next.  The funny part is that Luka does fall for Desi .

I seriously couldn’t help enjoying this wacky plot of the book . It was hilarious and adorable. Luka was adorable. Desi and and her father had such great conversations, Maurene Goo incorporated a lot of information about Korean culture: television, language, food, etc., in their conversations. Kdramas helped Desi find her true love and what could more do I ask .

If you are looking for some cuteness this summer , I would suggest I Believe in a Thing Called Love. A perfect YA of First love !!
