“Love is Love”
My Rating: ⛦⛦⛦⛦⛦
Genre: Young Adult
Plot:Sixteen-year-old and not-so-openly gay Simon Spier prefers to save his drama for the school musical. But when an email falls into the wrong hands, his secret is at risk of being thrust into the spotlight. Now Simon is actually being blackmailed: if he doesn’t play wingman for class clown Martin, his sexual identity will become everyone’s business. Worse, the privacy of Blue, the pen name of the boy he’s been emailing, will be compromised.
With some messy dynamics emerging in his once tight-knit group of friends, and his email correspondence with Blue growing more flirtatious every day, Simon’s junior year has suddenly gotten all kinds of complicated. Now, change-averse Simon has to find a way to step out of his comfort zone before he’s pushed out—without alienating his friends, compromising himself, or fumbling a shot at happiness with the most confusing, adorable guy he’s never met.
This is a book that I have been literally seeing it for 3 Years and lately more ever since the release of movie , Love Simon. Becky Albertalli is a wonderful writer with such a humourous writing and I absolutely adored her book , ‘The Upside of Unrequited’ .
This ‘You’ve Got Mail’ YA retelling is a story of Simon Spier who is 16 and he is a Awkward kid in his junior year of High school and who is secrectly emailing the mysterious Blue who also studies in his school and he falling for him, only he does not know who he is. Simon was a adorable, cute character. I loved him and his friendships with Abby and Leah were sweet and touching. He is not out to the world yet and the conflict of being out to the world, and declaring it to everyone is potrayed with authenticity. This is especially relevant in Today’s times . This was such a sweet book with loads of email exchange with Blue .
“P.S I love the way you smile like you don’t realize you ‘re doing it. I love your perpetual bed head. I love the way you hold eye contact a moment longer than you need to. And I love your moon -gray eyes . So if you think I’m not attracted to you , Simon you’re Crazy “
The coversations and exchange between the Simon and Blue is so cute and adorable like the above mentioned lines. It’s a funny and laugh out loud book. This book cannot be read once but re-read it a couple times.I just go with a Five Stars for this beautiful one.
Simon vs. the Homosapiens Agenda – I haven’t read it yet, but I’m definitely planning to. Sounds really good! Great review as always, by the way! (just a heads up, but there doesn’t seem to be a title for this post)

I recently read this novel and I loved it! Simon’s character is very likable, in addition to the other wealth of characters. I preferred the book over the movie, though the movie was well done. This novel made me want to read more books by this author…she’s just wonderful! Great review love!
