Because who needs a date when you’ve got a great book?
So without much further ado lets begin my book list for YA ROMANCE RECS . When I say romance is perfect that means exactly swoon worthy and so much fluffy .Butterflies, secrets, stolen glances, stolen kisses…You can find it all in a good YA romance. You’d Be Mine- Hahn tells the story of Annie Mathers, an heir to a country-music fortune being pursued by bad-boy musician Clay Coolidge. When Annie joins him on tour, fans begin to obsess over a potential relationship, but Annie has her doubts about Clay’s past. This looked so adorable when it came out I loved it so much .
Anna and the French Kiss – “Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris—until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all…including a serious girlfriend. But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. I loved it so much .
Love and Gelato – “Lina is spending the summer in Tuscany, but she isn’t in the mood for Italy’s famous sunshine and fairy-tale landscape. She’s only there because it was her mother’s dying wish that she get to know her father. But what kind of father isn’t around for sixteen years? All Lina wants to do is get back home. But then she is given a journal that her mom had kept when she lived in Italy. Suddenly Lina’s uncovering a magical world of secret romances, art, and hidden bakeries. A world that inspires Lina, along with the ever-so-charming Ren, to follow in her mother’s footsteps and unearth a secret that has been kept for far too long. It’s a secret that will change everything she knew about her mother, her father—and even herself.”
Fangirl -‘Fangirl is a must–read for any teenage girl going through any kind of change, as it explores many themes, from the fear of making new friends, to the change of relationships with people, as you move on in life.’– Guardian Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorite author and just gobble anything she writes . One of my FAVORITE books of all time .I just happen to love the author’s writing and the characters. Fangirl introduced me to the world of Fanfiction and I was floored.
To All the Boys I’ve ever Loved Before – “What if all the crushes you ever had found out how you felt about them… all at once? Sixteen-year-old Lara Jean Song keeps her love letters in a hatbox her mother gave her. They aren’t love letters that anyone else wrote for her; these are ones she’s written. One for every boy she’s ever loved—five in all. When she writes, she pours out her heart and soul and says all the things she would never say in real life, because her letters are for her eyes only. Until the day her secret letters are mailed, and suddenly, Lara Jean’s love life goes from imaginary to out of control.”
I believe in a thing called Love – “Desi Lee believes anything is possible if you have a plan. But—she’s never had a boyfriend. In fact, she’s a disaster in romance, a clumsy, stammering humiliation magnet whose botched attempts at flirting have become legendary with her friends. So when the hottest human specimen to have ever lived walks into her life one day, Desi decides to tackle her flirting failures with the same zest she’s aplied to everything else in her life. She finds guidance in the Korean dramas her father has been obsessively watching for years…. It’s a simple formula, and Desi is a quick study. … Desi goes after the moody, elusive artist Luca Drakos—and boat rescues, love triangles, and staged car crashes ensue. But when the fun and games turn to true feels, Desi finds out that real love is about way more than just drama.”
Tweet Cute- Meet Pepper, swim team captain, chronic overachiever, and all-around perfectionist. Her family may be falling apart, but their massive fast-food chain is booming ― mainly thanks to Pepper, who is barely managing to juggle real life while secretly running Big League Burger’s massive Twitter account. Enter Jack, class clown and constant thorn in Pepper’s side. When he isn’t trying to duck out of his obscenely popular twin’s shadow, he’s busy working in his family’s deli. When Big League Burger steals his grandma’s iconic grilled cheese recipe, he’ll do whatever it takes to take them down, one tweet at a time. All’s fair in love and cheese ― that is, until Pepper and Jack’s spat turns into a viral Twitter war. Little do they know, while they’re publicly duking it out with snarky memes and retweet battles, they’re also falling for each other in real life ― on an anonymous chat app Jack built. Utterly delicious.
The Sun is Also Star: JUST BASED ON A DAY!!! That’s what is book all about two characters meeting by chance and romance sparks between the two and then drifting apart. The power of 24 hours can seen transforming the lives of two teen. And the movie featuring Charles Melton and Yara Shahidi is so beautiful . I just adored the chemistry.
Eleanor And Park – One of my FAVOURITE books of all time . I just happen to love the author’s writing and the characters. Based in late 1980 , this book has an old world charm, when there were Walkmans and Comics instead of smartphones and social media.
The Upside of Falling – This one reminds you of the Wattpad story you read long ago back when you were obsessed with Wattpad lol., with cute characters and cliche storylines of the nerdy girl and the popular jock falling in love. Coming back to the book , this one certainly falls in the category of those stories but I still felt that this book was very entertaining. I mean, it has fake dating, which is a done-to-death trope, but this one doesn’t go in the complications of fake dating and keeps the story-line very simple. The characters are cute and well-rounded too .
It Sounds Better in My Head – This one is an absolute gem. Charming and authentic, an entertaining and coming-of-age story about first love, figuring out what you want to do with your life, and who you really are. It has all the awkwardness and feel good moments you would expect from a story about first love.
Alex Approximately: This has got You’ve Got Mail Vibes and with teen characters with Beach backdrop and a surfer protagonist , mashed with a hate to love tropes and pen- pals and Cinema Buffs .I think it is a kind of book when you are trying to read something light and fun.
