Hey Guys !! Long Time no see , I have been busy with my second year college even though we are on the online mode , we are swamped with the work and assignments . But that is the part of college life. Though it has affected by reading pattern and officially currently I am on Reading Slump. I need to get out of it asap ,So a drop a book in the comments section if you think that it will be helpful in coming out of reading slump . ❤
So recently I was watching the Pride And Prejudice (2005) on Netflix and I as floored by Keira Knightley portrayal of Elizabeth Bennett and words fall short about Mr. Darcy . So I thought why not a fangirl-ing post to portray the sheer beauty of Pride and Prejudice (1813). Jane Austen are still so beautiful in the the 21st Century . The first time I read P&P was when I was in Grade and it was tough read for me . Fast Forward many years , I find beauty and beauty alone in these words.
Pride and Prejudice-Jane Austen

Plot- Pride and Prejudice is a humorous story of love and life among English gentility during the Georgian era. The story is based on Jane Austen’s novel about five sisters – Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty and Lydia Bennet – in Georgian England. Their lives are turned upside down when a wealthy young man (Mr. Bingley) and his best friend (Mr. Darcy) arrive in their neighborhood. Love in the 18th Century .
The story charts the emotional development of the protagonist, Elizabeth Bennet, who learns the error of making hasty judgments and comes to appreciate the difference between the superficial and the essential. The comedy of the writing lies in the depiction of manners, education, and marriage and money in the British Regency. The book starts with the following quote:” It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. The story starts with Mrs. Bennet wanting her daughters to be married with good fortunes. Of all the sister’s the best of them is Elizabeth Bennet, her lively mind and good looks just makes you feel closer to our protagonist. Of course ,one can simply love the mysterious Darcy. We love P&P mainly because we love Mr. Darcy. Without him, there would be far fewer P&P fans. Characters are well developed with the plot settings as well. One of the EPIC CLASSICS OF ALL TIMES.

I would recommend Northanger Abbey. It’s probably my most favourite from Jane Austen. It’s short, sweet and fun. Definitely gonna help with the slump 😊

I always get out of my reading slump through P&P and then binge watch the BBC(1995) mini series as I can’t seem to get over Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle’s perfect potrayal of Mr. Darcy and Lizzy respt. Have you read Unmarriagable, the modern retelling of P&P. It may not be as good as the original but as the story is set in Pakistan, it exudes so much desi vibes.

I really struggled with Pride and Prejudice when I read it a few years ago. However, I hadn’t read a classic since high school over 10 years ago so that’s probably why. lol. Perhaps I’ll dig it out and reread it again.

I actually thought that pride and prejudice will not be an intriguing book to read but once I watched the movie it made me rethink about that opinion. Considering that movies cut a lot of details that book must be even better
