Hardcover, 320 pages Published June 23rd 2020 by Berkley Books

A chance meeting with a handsome stranger turns into a whirlwind affair that gets everyone talking.

Plot : Dating is the last thing on Olivia Monroe’s mind when she moves to LA to start her own law firm. But when she meets a gorgeous man at a hotel bar and they spend the entire night flirting, she discovers too late that he is none other than hotshot junior senator Max Powell. Olivia has zero interest in dating a politician, but when a cake arrives at her office with the cutest message, she can’t resist–it is chocolate cake, after all. Olivia is surprised to find that Max is sweet, funny, and noble–not just some privileged white politician she assumed him to be. Because of Max’s high-profile job, they start seeing each other secretly, which leads to clandestine dates and silly disguises. But when they finally go public, the intense media scrutiny means people are now digging up her rocky past and criticizing her job, even her suitability as a trophy girlfriend. Olivia knows what she has with Max is something special.

I genuinely had so much fun reading this book . I had a wide grin on my face all the time reading the book,it was so adorable to read the book and Jasmine Guillory never disappoints. This is as charming and romantic a novel as her previous works. It was fun to see Olivia and Max fall in love and then have to figure out if a relationship between them could be possible. Where to begin and where to end ? Olivia and Max hit it off at the first time like pea and pod and there was no going back . Plus the ample reference of food in the book just makes my mouth water so much and Also they ate CONSTANTLY. Like so much food references everywhere , Cakes. Pies. Tacos. Pizza. I think I believe food and romance is a good combination and Jasmine Guillory proved me right . Set in the backdrop of LA , the story revolves around the kickass lawyer , Olivia Monroe and the Senator Max Powell and their epic sizzling romance and chemistry with a dash of cuteness and not to forget the diversity quotient . In addition to the normal things you go through when starting a new relationship, Olivia and Max had to navigate surviving a long distance relationship and the paparazzi. Adding a oomph factor .

Overall, this is a great summer romance. Available now! This book is sweet, smart, entertaining and worth a 2020 read . Grab your copies, click here !!
