Hey Bookworms!! Josh and Hazel’s Guide to Not Dating is one absolute gem . It is funny and witty read. I had so much fun reading the book. I just adored this book so much as it was absolutely and outrageously funny. One of my Favorites now .

My Rating – 4.5 Stars

Plot- Hazel Camille Bradford knows she’s a lot to take—and frankly, most men aren’t up to the challenge. If her army of pets and thrill for the absurd don’t send them running, her lack of filter means she’ll say exactly the wrong thing in a delicate moment. Their loss. She’s a good soul in search of honest fun. Josh Im has known Hazel since college, where her zany playfulness proved completely incompatible with his mellow restraint. From the first night they met—when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes—to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air. Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there’s nothing between them.

“I have chaos around me, but it’s like he doesn’t even care. He doesn’t need me to change or pretend to be someone else. He’s my person. He’s my best friend.”

There was nothing particularly exceptional about the book, plot, or characters aside from the utter adorableness. It was exactly the type of book that I needed: something light and sweet and easy to read. The Book is so Damn Cute . And what can I say about Hazel ? She is a spitfire and she is absolutely crazy.

There are oh so many Christina Lauren novels you could escape into, but this one is particularly funny, sweet, and sexy. Josh and Hazel are two complete opposites who form an unlikely friendship when fate conspires to force them into temporary cohabitation. Both struggling in their respective dating lives, the two friends agree to set each other up on a series of dates with mixed results. So not only do we get the electric tension of two people in close quarters, but we also get to vicariously experience dates! Bars! Restaurants! Parties! As the plot thickens, everyone seems to be in on the secret except for Josh and Hazel. And I mean everyone. Their journey to love is intoxicatingly quirky, perfectly paced and all around fun. It’s one I could watch reread over and over. In fact, when I turned that final page, my love-drunk heart wanted to go back to the beginning and experience it all again.
