Plot – Agreeing to go to a wedding with a guy she gets stuck with in an elevator is something Alexa Monroe wouldn’t normally do. But there’s something about Drew Nichols that’s too hard to resist. On the eve of his ex’s wedding festivities, Drew is minus a plus one. Until a power outage strands him with the perfect candidate for a fake girlfriend…After Alexa and Drew have more fun than they ever thought possible, Drew has to fly back to Los Angeles and his job as a pediatric surgeon, and Alexa heads home to Berkeley, where she’s the mayor’s chief of staff. Too bad they can’t stop thinking about the other…They’re just two high-powered professionals on a collision course toward the long distance dating disaster of the century–or closing the gap between what they think they need and what they truly want.

“I’m so glad I got stuck in that elevator with you.” she said.“Me, too.”

Well . If you are in for a light breezy contemporary romance this is the on for you . I mean this is the meet cute romance . Aaaaww, it was one adorable story. If you’re looking for something spectacular, this book isn’t for you but I really enjoyed how the romance between Alexa and Drew budded. The story starts in a hotel elevator and it is just so spontaneous .

What a charming, warm, sexy gem of a novel. I couldn’t put The Wedding Date down. I love a good romance and this delivered from the first page to the last. Alexa Monroe is a great heroine—smart, funny, and full of the anxieties women know intimately about being a woman of color and being healthy . And when she meets the handsome doctor Drew Nichols in an elevator, it’s the beginning of an adventure in falling in like and then lust and then love. It was also nice to read a fun novel about an interracial relationship. There is something just fun and sexy reading this book . The biggest part was that I had already read The Wedding Party early . In-spite of this I enjoyed the book .

I love a good, swoony romance, and The Wedding Date really hit the spot for me! I found this book highly entertaining, flirty, fun, and sweet as can be. I recommend it and I’m looking forward to reading more from this author!

    1. Well . The red cover is way more popular. But since I read the Kindle Edition and this cover was way more aesthetically done . I like this cover way better .
