Plot -All sorcerers are evil. Elisabeth has known that as long as she has known anything. Raised as a foundling in one of Austermeer’s Great Libraries, Elisabeth has grown up among the tools of sorcery—magical grimoires that whisper on shelves and rattle beneath iron chains. If provoked, they transform into grotesque monsters of ink and leather. She hopes to become a warden, charged with protecting the kingdom from their power. Then an act of sabotage releases the library’s most dangerous grimoire. Elisabeth’s desperate intervention implicates her in the crime, and she is torn from her home to face justice in the capital. With no one to turn to but her sworn enemy, the sorcerer Nathaniel Thorn, and his mysterious demonic servant, she finds herself entangled in a centuries-old conspiracy. Not only could the Great Libraries go up in flames, but the world along with them.As her alliance with Nathaniel grows stronger, Elisabeth starts to question everything she’s been taught—about sorcerers, about the libraries she loves, even about herself. For Elisabeth has a power she has never guessed, and a future she could never have imagined.

“Knowledge always has the potential to be dangerous. It is a more powerful weapon than any sword or spell.”

WOW !! The cover is so beautiful and the girl with a sword in her hand is the power of books she possess !!! I seriously have no words for this book . Its a story of a girl living in a library, surrounded by magical books, while also going on adventure after adventure to save the world from Evil. MC loves books just like you and me and what more could we ask from her, once in a while comes these books. She loves Libraries and wants to be a Warden and be around the books all time. But Sorcery of Thorns captivated me from page one, and I adored it so much.

This is a book which is perfect in many ways . Well , I’ll list them for you. The MC, Elisabeth is tall , fierce and confident girl ready to fight the evil . Her life turns upside down when a grimoire is lost . I love Fantasy particularly YA because writers have their female MC so strong and powerful . Then comes the Nathaniel Thorn , the sorceress and his mysterious demonic servant , Silas. (Silas reminds me of Dobby of HP). They team up together and get into adventures after adventures . Plus , their hate – love relationship and their banter. “It’s an honor to fight by your side, Elisabeth, for however long it lasts.”Oh, and I can’t pass up the opportunity to mention the romance! It’s forms in the most natural, beautiful way.

The incredible world-building and libraries or the brilliant writing . Or the characters, who are as real and which I came to love . The END is everything I could ask for and ever wished for . 450 pages gobbled in a day , such is the power of the book .

Have you read, Sorcery of Thorns ?? Let’s Chat in the Comments Section . !!

  1. Reading it right now! I’m almost 70% through and hoping to finish it tonight.
Hmm… I began by really loving the story and our main character, Elisabeth, but now I’m discovering a few things that I’m not loving, so I haven’t decided yet if it will be a 5 or a 4 star read. I guess I’ll have to see if the ending surprises me 🙂

  3. I definitely loved this book and her debut, An Enchantment of Ravens! The art on both I think was done by Charlie Bowater, and I just can’t get enough since she got popular from the A Court of Thorns and Roses fanart. She and Rogerson are amazing!
