Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases — a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.It doesn’t help that Stella has Asperger’s and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice — with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can’t afford to turn down Stella’s offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan — from foreplay to more-than-missionary position…Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but to crave all the other things he’s making her feel. Soon, their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic…
“I’m obsessed with you, Michael,” she confessed.

I have to say that I was not much intrigued by this book from when it was released , because I rarely read Romance Genre , I am more of a Young adult fiction reader. This book was released last year and I had heard quite a bit about it but then I kinda forgot about this book. Few days back, I was surfing Amazon and I Found Kiss Quotient at a remarkably cheap price, so good that I couldn’t resist buying it and I have to say, I absolutely devoured the book after that . I understand the hype over this book and I think this book deserved it.
“All the things that make you different make you perfect.”
Helen Hoang has created really memorable characters, Stella Lane and Michael . Stella is not just a flat character but rather a living character who feels so much even though she can’t express her feelings completely .I was wondering what about this book is so great that everyone has been raving about it on WordPress and Goodreads ? Maybe because it has the similarities with the iconic movie “Pretty Woman’,with role reversal .It can also be compared to “To All The Boys I’ve Ever Loved’ plot-wise, Stella and Michael resembles Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky respectively, a potrayal of grown-up versions with fake dating and sex in a fake relationship .
This book stands out from typical romance novels with a very different take on romance altogether. It portrays two people who are so much at ease with each other ,like their chemistry is awesome. I hate to admit that only after reading this book, I understand more about Stella and Asperger’s like I empathized with her and felt for her. Michael is a bi-racial character who really cares for Stella, and totally book-boyfriend material.
I particularly found Stella very cute and she has found a place in my favourite Book Heroines. I think this book is very apt for a book-to-movie adaptation I would love to see the characters on the screen , I feel it would be a epic blockbuster. After this, I am so excited to read the companion book ‘The Bride Test ‘, which is coming out this May as I just got approved of the ARC yesterday , much to my surprise. Yayyyy!!!
Have you Read the Kiss Quotient ?? Are you planning to read
‘The Bride Test ‘ next ?

Nice review! Same with the not having much interest in the book when it came out thing! I usually read young-adult fantasy and although I usually enjoy the romance in the books I read, I find myself not reaching out for the romance genre. But since I’ve been hearing quite a lot of good things about The Kiss Quotient recently, I think I’ll definitely give it a try!

In the Young Adult Books romance is very subtle and it’s so sweet but in romance books ,the romance is sometimes too much but I loved this book maybe it was authors magic spell ….😆😂😂💞

Last year I ADORED & LOVED The Kiss Quotient. I thought it was funny, witty and I loved Michael’s family. I enjoyed reading about Stella and her struggles, about Michael and his own struggles and about a relationship that started as a ‘learning experience’ and became something gorgeous. I cannot wait for The Bride Test, I want May to arrive asap >.<

This sounds like such an interesting read! I was a bit cautious when I first heard about it, but when I learned the author is autistic herself I felt a lot better about it.
