Hey Guys ,

Well, I know it’s a quite some time since I last posted any review. I know there has been a bit of interruption in my blogging schedule ever since my going back to high school, but I am trying miserably to manage both and hopefully I am doing so as well. I had wanted to read Warcross since a long time and I can surely say it’s worth the wait. The Virtual reality added with a huge amount of Science Fiction makes it a altogether master piece of the book , no doubt about that . Marie Lu and her brilliant writing just makes the book a SOLID GOLD.

Synopsis: For the millions who log in every day, Warcross isn’t just a game—it’s a way of life. The obsession started ten years ago and its fan base now spans the globe, some eager to escape from reality and others hoping to make a profit. Struggling to make ends meet, teenage hacker Emika Chen works as a bounty hunter, tracking down players who bet on the game illegally. But the bounty hunting world is a competitive one, and survival has not been easy. Needing to make some quick cash, Emika takes a risk and hacks into the opening game of the international Warcross Championships—only to accidentally glitch herself into the action and become an overnight sensation.
Convinced she’s going to be arrested, Emika is shocked when instead she gets a call from the game’s creator, the elusive young billionaire Hideo Tanaka, with an irresistible offer. He needs a spy on the inside of this year’s tournament in order to uncover a security problem . . . and he wants Emika for the job. With no time to lose, Emika’s whisked off to Tokyo and thrust into a world of fame and fortune that she’s only dreamed of. But soon her investigation uncovers a sinister plot, with major consequences for the entire Warcross empire.

Every locked door has a key. Every problem has a solution.”

To begin with , I totally loved the fact that it is a superb science fiction with so much happening and with games and Virtual reality on the other hand and then there is Warcross which is more than just a game. It’s an industry. It’s a way of life. It’s unlimited access to the future.
And for Emika, Warcross has recently become her saviour… and job. I just have to say Emika is a unique protagonist with rainbow coloured hairs and tatoos all over her body and not to mention she is a bounty hunter and a first class hacker.

“Everything’s science fiction until someone makes it science fact”

What I liked best about Warcross is that it’s fast-paced. I mean really fast-paced! From the opening chapter, you’re immediately dropped into Emika’s world as a bounty hunter. It actually makes reading so much fun and then with introduction of Hideo (Founder of Warcross). I just consumed this book and I hate to admit that I enjoyed reading about even the Antagonist ZERO. It is one hell of a book.

I just have to say that I loved the world of Warcross and its player, it”s setting of Tokyo(It’s a place that I have to visit someday.) , characters Emika , Hideo and all the suppoting characters , not to mention the  diversity and romance. Hence going with 5 stars.
