PLOT: In the last day of summer, Grace Fairchild, the beautiful young wife of real estate mogul Allister Calloway, vanished from the family’s lake house without a trace, leaving behind her seven-year old daughter, Charlie, and a slew of unanswered questions.
Years later, seventeen-year-old Charlie still struggles with the dark legacy of her family name and the mystery surrounding her mother. Determined to finally let go of the past, she throws herself into life at Knollwood, the prestigious New England school she attends. Charlie quickly becomes friends with Knollwood’s “it” crowd.
Charlie has also been tapped by the A’s—the school’s elite secret society well known for terrorizing the faculty, administration, and their enemies. To become a member of the A’s, Charlie must play The Game, a semester-long, diabolical high-stakes scavenger hunt that will jeopardize her friendships, her reputation, even her place at Knollwood.
I really enjoyed All These Beautiful Strangers! I was immediately hooked by the prologue, and looked forward to finding out what the mystery was. And the story was thrilling enough.Charlie Calloway is a junior at Knollwood Prep and she is the daughter of real -estate mogul, Alistair Calloway. 10 years ago her mother disappeared leaving her, her sister and father. But the story is DID SHE REALLY DISAPPEAR ?? As Charlie comes across some series of Photographs of her mother , she begins to questions everything she has been told about her mother.
“No one can really understand the whole of a person. In many ways, the people I was closest to, the people who meant the most to me-were strangers. Beautiful strangers.”
In her school, she joins a secret society , A’s Group and then their is a connection between her school and her Mother’s disappearance. The story was very easy to follow along even as it changed the point of view and went back in time. Just as much as Charlie’s pledging to join the As was interesting and drama filled in the present time the mysteries of the past were just as compelling. The story progresses with lots of twists and turns and meanwhile keeping us hooked , and the best part is the end as YOU WILL BE WITNESSING THE UNEXPECTED .The book has various POV’s of Charlie’s mum , Grace when she was young and they add much dimension to the book. The story unravels Layer by Layer. I also loved the Main Character, Charlie . She is a flawed , only thinks about herself but changes herself in due course. Also how she investigates her mother”s disappearance along with Greyson(another important character) is the highlight of the book..
I go with 4 STARS as I enjoyed it thoroughly. It’s honestly the best feeling ever when a book you were hesitant to start ends up in your favourites list and leaves you absolutely stunned

Witnessing the unexpected! This sounds like a thrilling mystery (which reminds me, I don’t really read mysteries and I totally should – do you have any recommendations?) Great review!

Read it when i was on holiday. I think my fave parts were the POV from the mum when she was young.
