Hey guys 🙂 It has been so long since I did a Discussion Post and I am finally doing a Discussion Post on a very important topic and the topic is How To Increase Traffic On The Blog?
As a blogger of 1 and a half years , I can surely say that few steps are important in achieving the same . Let’s begin with the Basic points:
- Set up a Blogging Schedule: It is very important for Bloggers to have a proper Blogging Schedule as we have to create a balance between the other world and this world. It is not a one day affair but a constant motivation and evolution to blog daily or thrice a week.
- Blog about what you’re Passionate: As I have already stated one should definitely Blog about his/her passionate things as it is not easy in long run. I personally blog about books as I love them soon damn much and I can’t fathom my life without them.
- Make Friends on Blogosphere: It’s very important for a Blogger to leave his distinct identity on other bloggers as it helps in friendship. I am happy to state that Book Blogging Community is one of the most warmest and friendliest group. Three cheers !!
- Social Media Helps:Believe it or not ,Social Media is a boon in this case. Instagram and Twitter play a very important role in the initial stages and its importance cannot be denied. It also helps in spreading information about your blog.
- Blog Often and Often :Seriously this is very important as one has to constantly blog authentic and personal content for long run in blogging . One should definitely have a variety of Blog posts on the blog , to interest the reader’s.
So this is a mini discussion post. Do you agree or do you have more advices/tips ? Let’s discuss in the comments section ..
Hope you have a Amazing day …Lots of love
Priyasha

Great post! I think interacting with others is key. Make friends, be engaging and genuine and people will come and check out your blog. Letting your personality shine through is important and something I still struggle with a bit myself. 🙂
I also totally agree about social. I’m always surprised by how many referrals come from Twitter! I really need to set up an Instagram for my blog. Great tip!

I’ve only been blogging for a little over 2 months, but from what I’ve seen so far, these tips seems to be really helpful. Next week I’m going back to working full time, so I’ll definitely need to keep a schedule then, if I’m to balance both things. Great post!

Hi Priyasha. For me it was all in the comments. Always leaving a mindful reply to comments at my blog. Then visiting the commenter’s blog and leaving one in return that showed I had actually checked their post. I believe that’s how I grew my blog. But you already have lots of followers. 🙂 Hugs.

I don’t think it’s about the quantity of blogging you do, I’d be happy to follow bloggers who only post once a week, but the quality of the content you post. I happily agree with everything else :-). Great thought!

My blog traffic is really bad so thank you for the useful tips. I get most traffic from Pinterest, a little from Twitter but I need to improve my blog drastically. I hope that one day I have as many followers as you!

Waggytales, I just gave you a follow, but I noticed something that might help out. I couldn’t find your follow button so I had to manually follow you through the reader. You may want to check your plugins under customize and see if you have your follow button added. 😊

Great share, Priyasha! I still feel very much a newbie with blogging, but my favorite thing to do is what Berit said above- interacting and letting other bloggers to know I read their reviews by leaving a thoughtful comments.

Nice advice. Just curious, how, specifically, have you used Twitter and Instagram to increase your blog traffic? I have started using them to share posts, but haven’t had a ton more traffic because of it. What do you do and what works?

Great discussion post! What do you think about bloodspot vs wordpress do you think one gets more blog views than the other? Is wordpress more angled towards book bloggers? I’m asking because I’m thinking about switching over to wordpress. Thanks for the tips 🙂

So handy, Priyasha, thank you.
I find the constant content the most challenging. In the end I sort of let it go, and I only blog once a week now. It means my traffic is way down, but I’m happier with the posts that I’m publishing so I’m trying to be content with that. Also I honestly can’t read enough to keep up with everybody else so I’ve just accepted that about myself now, haha.

I definitely agree, posting constantly and often definitely increases your presence to your followers and make you more memorable. And for that scheduling is definitely useful, and of course you’ll need to spend more time not only writing posts but also interacting with your followers. A good blog appearance also slightly helps for me personally.

For long term benefit, I think just don’t give up and do what you enjoy, authentic followers will catch up. Obviosuly it takes time, but it’s efficient.

I don’t use instagram all that much, but I use twitter a lot and it really helps. Most of us will be on twitter so you’ve got that immediate connection which can help for networking and building an audience. Schedules also do help but I also find certainly for me, I got to a point where I had to have a schedule and everything organised perfectly…it became rather stressful for me
So schedules are important but so is finding that right balance which is a process of trial and error I think. Great post!
