Hey guys 💛I have been in a review writing slump but I am back now. Today I am bringing you an ARC Review of From Twinkle, with Love.
My Rating : 3.5 Stars
Genre : Young Adult Contemporary
Plot:Aspiring filmmaker and wallflower Twinkle Mehra has stories she wants to tell and universes she wants to explore, if only the world would listen. So when fellow film geek Sahil Roy approaches her to direct a movie for the upcoming Summer Festival, Twinkle is all over it. The chance to publicly showcase her voice as a director? Dream come true. The fact that it gets her closer to her longtime crush, Neil Roy—a.k.a. Sahil’s twin brother? Dream come true x 2.
Well ,the story is of Twinkle ,a 16 year old Indian -American girl .She considers herself a Groundling, who in Shakespearean language , is someone who is a wallflower. She has stories to tell through her filmmaking and then she gets to make a film with Sahil Roy and show the world who she really is, so that she can leave her Groundling status and turn into one of the Silk Feathered Hats i.e the popular kids of the school. What follows is that she starts falling for Sahil and her plans falls apart, only to discover something more.
The above paragraph was my interpretation of the story . The book reminds me of Masala Bollywood Entertainers, because this book has so much going on . I mean Twinkle’s life becomes such a mess at some point. Plus, the book has lots of elements like Romance, Lots of catfights, BFF’S turning -enemy-turning friends again, playing Cupid , with a lot of melodrama and emotions thrown in . Between all this ,I would surely say this is a perfect Young Adult Contemporary for summer. The best part of the book was the fantastic and engaging writing style of Sandhya Menon, which hooked me to the story till the end . It was very hilarious and laughter-inducing.
What I enjoyed:
©A Indian Protagonist or rather an Indian-American but nevertheless I was elated. Also Twinkle’s journey from being nobody to turning into somebody is captivating.
© Sahil Roy ,Twinkle’ s Love Interest and Perfect Boyfriend material.
What I disliked :
© At last few parts I felt Twinkle turns into an annoying and irrational person and that is something I disliked. But the ending was pretty sweet.
The book at times seems cliche but at end I enjoyed the beautiful book and I go with 3.5 STARS for this book.
Lovely review I enjoyed this book as well!💕

This book is on my tbr and I keep meaning to read it but I just..never get around to it haha. I’m not really sure how to feel about it since you did mention it’s cliché but sometimes that’s exactly what I’m in the mood for! I guess I’ll see.
