Carve the Mark on the blog also . Click Here
Plot :The lives of Cyra Noavek and Akos Kereseth are ruled by their fates, spoken by the oracles at their births. The fates, once determined, are inescapable.Akos is in love with Cyra, in spite of his fate: He will die in service to Cyra’s family. And when Cyra’s father, Lazmet Noavek—a soulless tyrant, thought to be dead—reclaims the Shotet throne, Akos believes his end is closer than ever.As Lazmet ignites a barbaric war, Cyra and Akos are desperate to stop him at any cost. For Cyra, that could mean taking the life of the man who may—or may not—be her father. For Akos, it could mean giving his own. In a stunning twist, the two will discover how fate defines their lives in ways most unexpected.
Fate brought them together. Now it will divide them.
OMG!! What a book !!! An entertaining end to the Carve the Mark duology. I can’t believe I loved the book so I much. Well I haven’t read Veronica Roth’s Divergent trilogy but I totally superbly LOVED this duology though I am a boy sad that the series has ended , nevertheless . After this I am planning to read Divergent trilogy as well. The book was so superb with its writing ,storyline and not yo mention Droll worthy characters. And the highlight was there is a map of the planet’s in the beginning and I love books with map.
ENOUGH RANTINGS!!!
About the plot and the storyline I will say a amalgamation of Fantasy and Science fiction with lots of twists and turn ,on every page . Though I would not like to spoil the story 😉 . The worlds works with current which flows in every living thing and gives different currentgifts to people and it so cool. In As the title Fates is a very important part of the story and it continues in this book as well.
Akos is supposed to die in the service to Family Noavek (Cyra’s family) whereas Cyra’s fate is to cross the divide. But when things go awry and that’s the best parts of the book . The parts that stay in memory forever. This solid 400 pages does not disappoint at all .
Well if I talk about the characters of the book , then I love Cyra and Akos. They are so adorable together and with their friendship and romance elements ,the book shines. Akos is droll worthy and I won’t shy away from saying that … The book also has POV of Cisi and Eijeh adding much needed perspective to the book .
There is so much happening in the book , interplanetary war and you are sucked into the world. One of my Favorite Reads of 2018 already. There is lot of things happening in the storyline and you won’t be disappointed with this book. There are enough surprise elements in the book to keep one hooked to read this book…

This sounds like an amazing read. I’ve never heard of that duology… I’m adding it to my tbr list. What was the world building like? Did most of it take place in the first novel?
