my_thoughts-2022736944.pngCarve the Mark was a hugely anticipated book in my TBR and I was happy to finally read this one and remove it from TBR pile . MmEz_f-maxage-0_s-200x150.gif

Now the important question : Did the book live up to the hype? But sadly I have to say that this book don’t live up to my expectations as I predicted before handedly. The pacing was a tad slow . It took to much time for the reach to the climax . But inspite of all the happenings , I still enjoyed the book of Veronica Roth. . The fight sequences are well imagined and well written. Also the the dystopian world is fascinating . The people possed Energy currents. The book sometimes turn dark and depressing but after all it’s a dystopian world .

The characters of Akos and Cyra are beautifully crafted and well written . They are the essential part of the book. The book has sizeable side characters and I liked reading about them. The book begin with a map of their galaxy which acted as a bonus. pretty-book-bench-nature-water-outdoors-animated-gif-1.gif

FINAL VERDICT:

Expect the slow pacing , everything was nearly perfect . The storyline and character development was very good. I think I would definitely love to read it’s sequel which is coming up on 2018.Carve the Mark is Veronica Roth’s stunning portrayal of the power of friendship β€” and love β€” in a galaxy filled with unexpected gifts.
