“Whatever you’ve heard about Caraval, it doesn’t compare to the reality. It’s more than just a game or performance. It’s the closest you’ll ever find yourself magic in this world.”
| Plot Summary|
Scarlett Dragna has never left the tiny island where she and her sister, Tella, live with their powerful, and cruel, father. Now Scarlett’s father has arranged a marriage for her, and Scarlett thinks her dreams of seeing Caraval—the faraway, once-a-year performance where the audience participates in the show—are over. But this year, Scarlett’s long-dreamt-of invitation finally arrives. With the help of a mysterious sailor, Tella whisks Scarlett away to the show. Only, as soon as they arrive, Tella is kidnapped by Caraval’s mastermind organizer, Legend. It turns out that this season’s Caraval revolves around Tella, and whoever finds her first is the winner.Scarlett has been told that everything that happens during Caraval is only an elaborate performance. Nevertheless she becomes enmeshed in a game of love, heartbreak, and magic. And whether Caraval is real or not, Scarlett must find Tella before the five nights of the game are over or a dangerous domino effect of consequences will be set off, and her beloved sister will disappear forever.Welcome, welcome to Caraval…beware of getting swept too far away.
My Thoughts- I read it quite a long time ago but I had to review it and Share my views on this book . It’s rare that I like and love a book so much but Mark my words,I LOVED THIS BOOK AND THE STORY….. This book has been compared to Night Circus but since I haven’t read it yet I can’t sight the similarities .
This book just blowed away my senses.Stephanie created the magic simply by words .It is a story of love in its core.Scarlett’s love for Tella is just heart warming. One can identify with,Scarlett’s pain and her willingness to go to any extent to save her sister.Julian (The mysterious sailor) plays a very important role in story.
The story develops from Scarlett ,a powerless girl controlled by her father to a strong willed and determined girl.
This heart warming story is surely going to strike with the YA lover for sure.I LOVED THIS BOOK SO MUCH LITERALLY.
This is a first book in 2 book series.(I am particularly anticipating the second book , to continue with the magical world of Caraval.)
This is a really amazing YA from a debutante author of 2017 which has all the elements of magic and fantasy .

I have this book on deck to read and I’m pretty excited, but I am not the biggest fan of fantasy so I’m scared I won’t like it. I’m glad to hear you did, though! Excellent review!😃❤️
