Join me in this discussion.!
My favourite character-
Cath from the book-Fangirl
Cath is someone I can easily relate to some extent. She is a nerdy girl and her nerdiness matches mine too some extent. She is afraid to go to college and I am too a teeny-weeny bit afraid to start my college next year.Cath is a Fangirl and so am I .I belong to so many fandom’s including Harry Potter ,Twilight etc…

Personal fav – Harry Dresden , I love that he is tall and sarcastic and throws pop culture references , Kinda like me . The fact that he is unafraid of authority or crossing the line in order to help the weak and for sake of doing what’s right gives him extra point in my book

I have a lot about Harry Dresden…💞📚
We love the characters through which we can relate to some extent.
A pretty good description of the character.💞
Happy reading 📚

I agree , Dresden is probably the only character that I have shared any sort of similarities with , ergo as soon as I saw your topic title his name popped in my mind .
Happy reading to you as well 🙂

How do you choose?! I have so many! I guess if I HAD to choose ONLY one…it would be Lyra Belacqua/Silvertongue and her daemon named Pantalaimon. If I were ever to have a child, Lyra will be the name of the girl – whether the future husband likes it or not ha-ha. I love her character and the development. She was the first fictional character that felt “real” to me, very relatable in a number of ways. I also have a major soft spot for Poohbear in Milne’s original “Winnie-the-Pooh” children’s books. He’s so inspiring, in a number of ways that I think people tend to not realize until much later in life.
Great discussion to have – hard one though since there are so many characters I love!

Oh I wouldn’t know where to start! I have so many… But it’s funny that you love Cath because I didn’t. Well, not much.
Which is totally fine, by the way hahaha I guess some people will relate to her more than others 🙂
Great post!

In the same vein as Harry Dresden (also a fan) I enjoy the original wisecracking gumshoe Philip Marlow created by Raymond Chandler. As seriously as he takes his work he never takes himself seriously. As eager a drinker as his creator he’s always clear headed enough to deal with any situation that comes up. He’s also been the source for a hundred fictional detectives to follow. Hammett’s Sam Spade is close but too philosophical for the job.

Who is my favorite, fictional character? As odd as it might sound, I happen to be a sucker for villains. Can’t help it. There’s generally so much back story to those men and women, and, at times, I can’t help but give my heart to them.
So who do I like? Severus Snape (though he technically isn’t a “bad guy,” though he could be classified as an antagonist) and Tom M. Riddle. Why do I love these two? That would be one long, drawn out conversation and I doubt anyone would want a complete story on that one. What I can say is that I relate to them.
Snape has a darker personality, but he had a rather horrid childhood and not all that many friends. I’m the same on the second. My childhood was well enough. Certainly can’t complain. Despite not liking many of the children he teaches (one in particular), he still helped keep them safe. In the end, though? He did horrible things because he was the only one who would do it, in the name of winning a war.
Riddle? I like him due to the fact that, no matter how much insanity was thrown his way, no matter how much he was judged and spat at, he still rose to be one of the most feared people in Harry Potter. Have to give him his due, on that end. That, and the fact he lived through the London Bombings…well, lets just say I’m not a fan of Dumbledore. If the man had acted, and helped the boy out, a lot of the crap that occurs in the story could have been avoided. And this is getting lengthy and drawn out, which I said I wanted to avoid.
My bad. *Insert embarrassed laugh* Anyway, that’s that.
Not sure if anyone really agrees with me on this end. I like ’em. That’s all that counts.

I also think you are right Tom Riddle and Snape are very important part of the book and story.
I am myself a very biggggg Harry Potter fan.

Great post, such a difficult question! I love so many different characters, some of them Rainbow Rowell characters as well 😉 I love Baz from ‘Carry On’ by Rowell, I don’t know whether you’ve read it?! I wasn’t actually that keen on Cath as a character, although I suppose I am similar to her as a person, which is funny… 🙂

He is a brill character, I couldn’t recommend the book enough, especially to a fellow Rainbow Rowell fan 😉 ❤ Have you read Eleanor and Park before? True, it's always the case with any character, some you like and some you don't! 🙂
